Media Invited to Attend Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and View and Ride New Airport Shuttles

Airport officials and representatives from MV Transportation, Inc. will officially launch the brand-new, 2016 model year fleet of 13 ADA-compliant courtesy shuttles that seat 18 passengers each and are powered by compressed natural gas (CNG). On September 21, 2015, the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority Commission awarded a $11.97 million fixed price, five-year contract to MV Transportation, Inc., for turn-key courtesy shuttle services at the Airport. Vehicles are equipped with NextBus Technology providing real-time shuttle arrival information, DriveCam Surveillance System, and a MobilEye Collision Avoidance System.

Airport Authority Endorses Replacement Terminal Conceptual Term Sheet and Begins Environmental Impact Report Process

BURBANK, Calif., November 2, 2015 — The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority Commission voted 8-0, with one member absent, to endorse the Replacement Terminal Conceptual Term Sheet and begin the process of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on the Replacement Terminal parcel of the B-6 Trust Property. The Commission’s endorsement of the Conceptual Term Sheet precedes the Burbank City Council’s November 16 discussion and potential endorsement of the same item.

Airport Authority Enters Into a Purchase and Sale Agreement With Overton Moore Properties for 59-Acre “Trust Property”

BURBANK, Calif., November 2, 2015 – The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority Commission today announced that, through its real estate broker, Matthew Hargrove of CBRE Inc., it has entered into a $72,500,000 purchase and sale agreement with Southern California based Overton Moore Properties (“OMP”) for the 59-acre “Trust Property” located next to the Burbank Bob Hope Airport, west of Hollywood Way and south of San Fernando Road, formerly known as the Lockheed Property on Hollywood Way.

Burbank Bob Hope Airport Awards Courtesy Shuttle Services Contract to MV Transportation, Inc.

BURBANK, Calif., September 21, 2015 — The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority awarded a $11.97 million fixed-price, five-year contract to MV Transportation, Inc., for courtesy shuttle services at the Burbank Bob Hope Airport as part of the Airport’s continuing effort to provide parking customers and employees with the highest level of safe and efficient parking lot transportation.

Passenger Numbers At Burbank Bob Hope Airport Increase Through The First Half Of 2015 For The First Time In Eight Years

BURBANK, Calif., September 8, 2015 — For the first time since 2007, Burbank BobHope Airport’s passenger numbers have increased through the first half of the year, with the Airport serving 1,930,712 passengers from January through June 2015, a 2.2 percent increase over the 1,889,436 passengers served over the same period last year. Heading into the second half of the year, the 2,265,450 total passengers served from January through July 2015 is a 2.4 percent increase from the 2,211,948 passengers served during the comparable seven-month period in 2014.

Ross S. Selvidge, Ph.D., Appointed to the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority by the City of Pasadena

BURBANK, Calif., July 24, 2015—The City of Pasadena appointed Ross S. Selvidge, Ph.D., to the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority on July 13, 2015. Dr. Selvidge, who was officially sworn in on July 22, joins Steve Madison and Terry Tornek as one of the Authority’s three Pasadena representatives, a position previously held by Jacque Robinson, who stepped down in May 2015.
