JetBlue Airways Announces Nonstop Service Between Hollywood Burbank Airport and Boston Logan International Airport

BURBANK, Calif., April 26, 2018 — At a press conference held today at Hollywood Burbank Airport, JetBlue Airways announced that it will launch new nonstop service between Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), beginning September 5, 2018. Hollywood Burbank Airport Offers Travel Tips for the Busy Thanksgiving Holiday

BURBANK, Calif., November 16, 2017 — Thanksgiving week kicks off the winter holiday travel season, and passengers traveling through Hollywood Burbank Airport between Monday, November 20, and Monday, November 27, will experience higher-than-normal passenger traffic. We expect upwards of 125,000 travelers that will pass through the Airport during this eight-day Thanksgiving holiday travel period. The busiest travel days will be Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and Sunday and Monday after Thanksgiving. If you’re still looking to book your trip, the slowest travel days are Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

Airport Authority Commission Elects Pasadena Commissioner Terry Tornek as President for the Coming Year

BURBANK, Calif., July 18, 2017 – On Monday, July 17, 2017, the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, owner and operator of Hollywood Burbank Airport, elected new officers to head the Airport Authority Commission for a one-year term from July 2017 through June 2018. Airport Authority Commission Authorizes Finalization and Submission of Human Health Risk Assessment

BURBANK, Calif., July 17, 2017 — At this morning’s Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority meeting, the Authority Commission authorized the finalization and submission of the Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA) to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Los Angeles Region; the State Office of Environmental Human Hazard Assessment; and the City of Burbank. Finalization and submission of the HHRA to the designated agencies is one of the steps in the replacement passenger terminal process and follows the Airport Authority’s submission of the Airport Layout Plan (ALP) to the Federal Aviation Administration on June 30.

Pick-Up Point for Ridesharing Companies to Relocate to Terminal Ground Transportation Islands

BURBANK, Calif., July 13, 2017 — On Tuesday, July 18, the pick-up location for ridesharing companies that operate at Hollywood Burbank Airport, such as Uber, Lyft, Wingz, and Opoli, will be relocated from the ground level of the Short Term Parking Structure to the ground transportation island closest to the Terminal B entrance. This new pick-up point will provide increased convenience for passengers who use ridesharing apps to travel from the Airport, while also alleviating traffic congestion in the Short Term Parking Structure. Rideshare drivers can continue to drop off passengers at the terminal curb.

Airport Authority President and Executive Director Update Burbank City Council on Replacement Terminal Progress

BURBANK, Calif., May 24, 2017 — At last night’s Burbank City Council meeting, Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority President Bill Wiggins and Executive Director Frank Miller provided a progress report on the Hollywood Burbank Airport’s 14-gate replacement passenger terminal, which Burbank voters overwhelmingly approved in November 2016.
