In addition to housing rental cars, the ground level of the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center (RITC) serves as a transit hub for bus riders and provides direct access to and from the passenger terminal via the elevated moving walkway.

Metro Bus and BurbankBus stop in the bus turn-around area on the ground level of the RITC. Additionally, Amtrak and Metrolink passengers stopping at the Burbank Airport-South Train Station are able to access the RITC via an Empire Avenue street crossing that leads straight to elevator and escalator access to the elevated walkway.

Metrolink also stops at the Burbank Airport-North Station located on San Fernando Road and Hollywood Way. The Airport Authority provides complimentary shuttle service between the Burbank Airport-North Station and the Airport terminal.


Metrolink trains currently serve the Burbank Airport-South Train Station, located on Empire Avenue, on the Ventura County Line, as well as the Burbank Airport-North Train Station, located near the intersection of Hollywood Way and San Fernando Road, on the Antelope Valley Line. The Airport offers complimentary, on-demand shuttle service between the Airport and the Burbank Airport-North Train Station. The service is offered daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Passengers who wish to use the service can contact 818.729.2245 to request a ride once they have reached the Train Station or the terminal. Passengers riding from the terminal to the Train Station should proceed to the Valet Parking area to meet their shuttle.


The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner, which runs from Santa Barbara to San Diego, provides regular weekday and weekend service to the Airport at the Burbank Airport-South Train Station. To find Amtrak train arrivals and departure times, please visit the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner website.

Metro Bus and BurbankBus

The Airport is a stop on three Metro Bus lines and the City of Burbank BurbankBus, which connects with Downtown Burbank and the Metro North Hollywood Station. Metro Bus and BurbankBus both stop at the ground level of the RITC. Additional Metro Bus stops are located on Hollywood Way.


BurbankBus connects the Airport with the Metro North Hollywood Station Monday through Friday.
